NYC Takes Action to Protect Immigrant Children

Congress' failure to address our broken immigration laws is not discouraging New York City from considering policies aimed at improving the lives of immigrant communities.

New York City Councilman Daniel Dromm from Queens recently introduced a bill that aims at ensuring that eligible immigrant children in the city's foster care system are able to legalize their immigration status.

As a state of paralysis has taken over Congress, House and Senate leaders have definitely a lot to learn from New York City policymakers who are taking action to protect vulnerable immigrant children from deportation and improve the lives of immigrant communities.
