Immigration Reform & 2010 Elections
For Latino voters, attitudes on immigration serve as a way to define the "good guys" and the "bad guys," according to a new report by America's Voice on the role of Latino voters in the mid-term elections.
Thus far, it is clear that Latinos consider Republicans the "bad guys." But Democrats shouldn't think they are off the hook.
The report indicates that Latino voters could affect as many as 40 congressional races in November, including the re-elections of Senate Majority Leaders Harry Reid and Senator McCain.
Being that Latinos are the nation's fastest growing segment of the electorate, Democrats would be smart to move on immigration reform this year.
