Danke Schöen my darlings
We don't talk much about ourselves on the DMIBlog. Even if you've been reading my posts here over the past 2.5 years the most personal information you might learn about me is my love of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. So excuse me while I switch gears for a second and announce something personal:
This is my last post on the DMIBlog as Managing Editor. Not because I don't love you, I do, I really do, but because I'm starting a new job at UNITE HERE. I'll be continuing to work with the netroots to help promote working people's issues. No David Horowitz-style conversions here. In fact I consider my new work to be a continuation of my work at DMI.
I love DMI and I am so thankful for the opportunities I have had here and the pixels our blog readers and I have shared on this site since the Fall of 2005. We've shared the good, the bad, and the exploding together.
I know that the site will be in good hands in my departure. We have so many excellent writers like Mark, Amy, Harry, Cory, Andrea, regular guests like Antoine Morris, Dan Ancona and more! Thank you especially to our guest bloggers and dedicated commenters like Alon and Daniel who have added so much to our dialogue and put in a lot of time to make the site what it is. And what it is is awesome, if I dare say so myself.
We have some great guest bloggers scheduled for you all over the next month and I know you all will give them a great welcome.
In parting, a farewell song
You know I'll be in touch.
