MayorTV in the news: Bloomberg not running
In an interview with the Robert Knight Report broadcast on Clear Channel radio stations across the state DMI's Andrea Batista Schlesinger weighed in on whether Mayor Bloomberg's final decision not to run for President will mean even less attention is paid to urban issues in the presidential race. Listen online here!
I know. As if it were possible for city issues to get any less attention from the Presidential Media Circus than they already get. What's zero subtracted from zero? Well at least the MayorTV project is on the case earning a whole range of media attention of the print, broadcast and bloggy kind. Hey, the more people asking the question "what is your national agenda for cities?" the better off we all will be, even if you don't live in the city. As Andrea says in the interview:
"In many ways, cities are the solution to the problems facing us, from global warming to efficient transportation. It's just surprising there is inadequate conversation from Democrats or from Republicans. There has been little talk about what the next President should do to make our cities stronger."
So don't forget to watch MayorTV. More interviews with mayors are on their way soon.
