Want to Hear What the Candidates Think About Election Reform? Vote Today!
The clock is ticking! You have only one day, 11 hours, and 40 minutes to vote for the top ten video questions that will be asked the presidential candidates on 10Questions.
10Questions, which is sponsored by techPresident, the New York Times Editorial Board, MSNBC, and a host of other organizations and media, is an Internet forum for posing questions to the Presidential contenders. Users submit questions and then vote on the ten questions that the candidates will be asked. The candidates will respond with their own videos, and the 10Questions community will then be able to grade the candidates' answers. 10Questions calls itself "an experiment in people-powered online democracy" because anyone can post a question, vote for a questions, and grade the candidate responses.
Why Tuesday? is currently in ninth place with a great question on election reform. "The U.S. still ranks far behind most other countries in the world in the level of voter participation and voter turnout," says Why Tuesday? Executive Director Jacob Soboroff. In his question, Soboroff says,
"Do you think that our voting system is broken? If elected President, what are you going to do about that on the first day in office? Thirdly, do you think that we should revisit the decision made in 1845 to make the Tuesday after the first Monday in November the official election day in the United States?"
I'm curious to the candidates' answers to this question, but the system only allows one vote per IP address and I've already voted! So now it's your turn. One day, 11 hours, 31 minutes....
