Letter to the Editor of the Week!
It's that time again, and don't tell me you didn't miss it.
It's time for The Letter To the Editor of the Week!
So maybe it's a bit too obvious but today's Letter To the Editor of the Week ran in amNew York writen by Rita Pearl of Brooklyn. She's responding to DMI Fellow Adrianne Shropshire's op-ed that ran yesterday called "Valuing City Workers".
Rita Pearl - I salute you as you salute the workers that make the city run.

Bravo, to Adrianne Shropshire ("Valuing City Workers") for speaking out for public employees in a city increasingly becoming only rich or poor.
Many people were incensed when our billionaire mayor, who spent millions of his own money to get elected, had the nerve to call MTA workers selfish. Without public infrastructure, private business simply would not be able to function. Schools provide an educated workforce.
Roads and public transportation move product and bring employees to work. Without these plus water, sewage, and sanitation there would be no private sector profits to be made, no matter where that business was located.
