Sasha Abramsky

Sasha Abramsky is a Senior Fellow at Demos, a national, non-partisan public policy organization based in New York, and author of Conned: How Millions Went to Prison and Lost the Vote. He has written for The New York Times, The Nation, Rolling Stone, and LA Weekly, among other publications. He is the author of Hard Time Blues: How Politics Build a Prison Nation, and teaches in the writing program at the University of California, Davis. He lives in Sacramento with his wife and daughter.
