Nomi Prins is a journalist and Senior Fellow at Demos. Her new book JACKED: How "Conservatives" are Picking your Pocket (whether you voted for them or not) is in stores this week. Linking each card in a typical wallet to shortsighted policies, blunders and scandals, and through extensively traveling the country, Prins shows how skewed national priorities have diminished America--but not the American spirit. Her previous book, Other People's Money: The Corporate Mugging of America, was chosen Best Book of 2004 by The Economist, Barron's, Library Journal, and The Progressive. She is a frequent commentator on CNBC, and has appeared on CSPAN, BBC World, Air America, CNN Radio, NPR, and other TV and radio outlets. Before becoming a journalist, she was a managing director at Goldman Sachs.
