John Petro
John Petro is an urban policy analyst at the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy. He was born in Cape Coral, Florida and received his B.A. in political science from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He continued his studies at Seton Hall University in New Jersey where he earned his Master's degree in international relations with a concentration in political and economic development. John then moved to Washington, DC for an internship at the U.S. Department of Commerce conducting research on the World Bank, IMF, the Export-Import Bank, and other international financial institutions. John remained in Washington to work for the Child Welfare League of America in the Research and Evaluation division where his research focused on best practice and emerging practice in the child welfare field.
