John Bouman
John Bouman is the Director of Advocacy for the Sargent Shriver National Center on Poverty Law, a law and policy center that champions economic opportunity for low-income people. Bouman is know nationally for creating new approaches to national and state welfare policy implementation. He has also been instrumental in helping Illinois to build the nation's strongest track record in development of model policies on issues of poverty and health care. John has also led the Shriver Center in creation of the State of Poverty: 2006 Congressional Midterm Report, a legislative scorecard detailing on how every member of Congress represents the interests of the poor.
