Dean Baker

Dean Baker is the co-director and co-founder of the Center for Economic and Policy Research (CEPR). Before starting the CEPR, he was a senior economist at the Economic Policy Institute. He is the co-author (with Mark Weisbrot) of Social Security: The Phony Crisis and more recently The Conservative Nanny State: How the Wealthy Use the Government to Stay Rich and Get Richer(available as a free e-book at www.conservativenannystate.org). He also writes the blog, Beat the Press, which analyzes economic reporting in major media outlets.
